WIN-WIN Strategies for an Engaged and Productive Workplace

Let's Get Started

Who is Vidya Raman?

During the early years of my long corporate career, my managers consistently used the adjectives "hardworking" and "diligent" to describe me. My work ethic was likely instrumental in earning that reputation. Every year around performance evaluation time, I would eagerly anticipate the prospect of finally receiving the title change I so desperately desired. Yet, year after year, I experienced disappointment as I discovered my name missing from the promotion list.

When I saw a less competent coworker, someone I had trained get a promotion, it finally dawned on me that hard work was not the 'only ' defining criteria for career progression. After weeks of wallowing in self-doubt and self-pity, I decided to rescue myself. With that came my immersion in self-help books, and some of them were paradigm-shifting with several ‘Aha!’ moments. It helped direct my attention to some of my blind spots and I slowly started to find my footing and my voice.

My commitment to rewriting my professional history took root around that time. I grew my self-awareness, identified and repaired my blind spots, became proactive, and grew my profile at work.

This course correction paved the way for accelerated career progression, a shift into leadership positions, and the long-awaited recognition of my full potential.

Today, the deeply examined experiences of my career along with the examined experiences of those I coached, serve as the bedrock for my programs - keynotes, workshops, and coaching. My talks focus on championing an ownership culture, mastering your mindset, strengthening emotional intelligence, refining communication styles, mobilizing stronger communities at work,  investing in feminine leadership traits, and building a happier and more productive workplace.
